Essentials Slide Scanning Service
We understand how overwhelming it can be to be the custodian of a large collection of slides and not even know what the collection contains. That’s why we designed our ‘Essentials Slide Scanning’ Service. It is an economical way of accessing the images and serves as an excellent starting point in saving your slides & preserving your family history.
Over time slides gather dust, they fade and some colours can shift. Scans using our Essentials Service will give you a digital image that replicates the slide in its current state.
Each scanned image is:
Cleaned both physically & digitally to reduce dust
Individually checked for quality with dust specks on faces manually removed
Rotated so that all images are in the correct orientation
Provided as a high-resolution JPEG files ~2800x4300 pixels which is enough to print larger than A4 size
Archival Slide Scanning Service
Do you want the best possible scan of your slides? Our archival service is designed for those special images or perhaps even the whole collection. We give extra attention to each image and adjust each scan one-by-one correcting for colour and density shifts. With superior dust removal technology we are able to get even cleaner scans than what can be achieved with the ‘Essentials’ service.
Each slide is:
Cleaned physically one-by-one using an anti-static dust removal device & digitally using infrared-dust removal technology
Assessed and corrected for colour-casts and density shifts
Colours, including skin tones, are more natural and detail in the shadow areas is clearer
Checked for quality with dust specks on faces manually removed
Rotated so that all images are in the correct orientation
Provided as a high-resolution JPEG files ~2000x3000 pixels which is enough to print A4 size

We don’t just digitise. We organise.
We don’t want you to end up with a digital version of your physical mess. As professional photo organisers our goal is to help you be able to find your photos when you need them and ensure they remain accessible easily for future generations.
As part of our service, we work with you to identify dates, themes, events, locations and we include this information in the filename of the scans so that they are descriptive.
We also update the dates of the files to be the (approximate) date that the photo was actually taken rather than the date the image was scanned. This means that if you add these images into iCloud or Google Photos, for example, the images will show up correctly placed in the timeline.
